United way of Whatcom County
United Way of Whatcom County knew Covid-19 would impact their fall 2020 giving campaign. As a result, they need to create a video campaign to reach out to donors and encourage giving.
One of the difficulties of United Way from a marketing perspective, is they fund over 20 different non profits, and it’s difficult to show what it is they do. We set out to show how The United Way of Whatcom County supports the entire community through their fudning of local non profits.
Here’s what their Marketing Director had to say:
“Our effort produced a tool kit of on-brand messaging and videos to help us educate donors and transform our traditional, in-person fundraising model into an easy-to-implement virtual approach. We are getting positive feedback from our core supporters, who have enjoyed having a variety of videos to view and share as part of their advocacy. These videos have made telling the United Way story much easier for our advocates and volunteers during a very challenging time.”
Kristi Birkeland | Marketing Director
“I was very happy with the results. I know everyone we showed our videos to has responded really positivly, and that’s been great for us.
We came to Flannel Media because we needed to reach out in different ways. We wanted to share videos easily and quickly with our target audience.
I really appreciated Flannel Media’s level of professionalism. They followed all requests, were always timely, very respectful, they made the people in the interviews feel comfortable. When we needed guidance, they gave it to us. They did a good job making everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera.
I was impressed by the way Flannel Media took the time to study our organization and take in what it is we do, and the message we were trying to get accross. They took the time to get to know us, and then worked with us to get the message out in a way that resonated with us and with others.”
